Conway Robinson Memorial State Forest, Gainesville

I had no idea what to expect here. Conway Robinson was described simply as a forest with trails, which, it turns out, describes it exactly.

But what a forest. Beautiful trails wind through peaceful woods. The ground remains flat for the entire area, making it a very easy hike. Note that the trails are relatively long and few in number, so you won't get lost, but there aren't a lot of short paths.

It had rained a little recently, and some muddy patches dotted the trail. I had no problem hiking with tennis shoes on, but if I hiked here regularly I'd bring boots.

The trails are nice and wide with minimal brush, so it'd be an ideal place for a dog walk.
