Fairfax Villa State Park, Fairfax

This was my first time here, and what a find! A huge park in the middle of the suburbs, full of trees and quiet paths.

Despite the rain, the wide dirt trails remained firm. I only saw one other person, a man walking his dog.

Note that the park contains a large number of criss-crossing paths, so it's easy to get a little confused. One large path runs straight along one edge of the park, so I'd stick with that if it's your first time here.
