My goodness, I love this park. You can take it easy hiking along the wide, packed gravel path, or duck into the woods along the easy-to-follow dirt trails that wind through infinite acres of forest.
I started my hike at Lock 10 and headed west, exploring some of the wooded trails for the first half of my hike and walking the gravel path the rest of the time. I only met about half a dozen people the entire time.
It rained yesterday, leaving a few small puddles on the gravel path. A few soft spots marred the dirt paths, but they were otherwise easy to walk, even with tennis shoes.
