Today

It's interesting to visit a place at a different time than normal.

I've been here twice before, both times on a weekday after work. At those times, the park is quiet, with only a few older folks walking the trails.

On this Saturday morning, dozens of people packed the park; most of my time was spent in the company of other hikers. There was apparently some kind of children's event at the main visitor complex, which brought even more people. It wasn't worse than usual, just different.

It was hot and humid today, which kept me from walking long, but at least it was bright and sunny.
