It was a hot day, so I eschewed the more open parts of the trail near the metal bridge in favor of the stretches that forge through the woods. Despite the temperature -- hot but not scorching -- Cub Run was even more empty than during my previous trip. I passed about half a dozen people, most of them runners or bikers.
It's sad: the middle of summer, and nobody's taking their kids out to walk the trails. Still, that means those trails remain quiet and places for nice, contemplative walks.
On my way back, I passed a cleanup crew, and directed them towards an old tree that had fallen over the path. Yay for cleanup crews!
