Olde Izaak Walton Park, Leesburg

I arrived in great anticipation; I've hiked this park many times.

The trail around the lake remains a pleasant one, easy to walk. Unfortunately, the trails beyond the park itself, just over the bridge, are very badly overgrown, and impassable about fifty yards in. Worse, much of the brush are nettles and thorns; plants unsuitable for attack in shorts and a short-sleeved shirts.

So I contented myself with a brisk walk around the lake. Still worth it.
