Van Dyck Park is a quick hike; just past the tennis courts along paved paths through just enough woods to screen you from the nearby neighborhoods. Ten minutes of brisk hiking and you're back to the parking lot (and fields and playgrounds).

This time, I took the one path I hadn't explored yet, and found a path that pushes out of the park to continue along a wooded stream bed on one side and an apartment complex on the other. While not the most beautiful view, it does offer another leg of a walk if you find the park a little smaller than you'd like.
